2. Overview
This website provides information about our services and lets you contact us through an enquiry form. It sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking tools and embeds no third-party content such as maps, videos or fonts from external servers. Fonts are delivered from our own web server.
3. Hosting and server log files
The website is hosted by Netlify, Inc., 101 2nd Street, San Francisco, CA 94105, USA. When you visit the website, technically necessary data that your browser transmits automatically is processed: IP address, date and time of access, page requested, referrer URL, browser type and operating system. This data is needed to deliver the website and to keep it secure and stable.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in the secure and error-free operation of the website. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Netlify. Where data is transferred to the USA, the transfer is based on the European Commission's adequacy decision for the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or on standard contractual clauses under Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR.
4. Enquiry form
If you contact us via the enquiry form, we process the data you enter: company, name, email address, optionally phone number and country, details of your requirement or your plant, your description and any file you upload. The data is transmitted via Netlify's form service, stored there and forwarded by email to the responsible staff at Waltmann Trade.
The purpose is to handle your enquiry and, where applicable, to prepare and perform a contract. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering enquiries). To process an enquiry, we may pass on the technical details needed for a quote to suitable manufacturers – without your contact details unless agreed otherwise.
5. Contact by email
If you write to us by email, we process your email address and the content of your message to handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR.
6. Storage period
We delete enquiries once they have been fully handled and no contract results, at the latest after twelve months. If a contract is concluded, we keep the records for the statutory retention periods (up to ten years under Section 257 HGB and Section 147 AO). Server log files are deleted by the host after a short time.
7. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21). To exercise these rights, contact the email address above.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), in particular in the member state of your habitual residence, your place of work or the place of the alleged infringement.
8. Encryption
The website and the enquiry form are transmitted exclusively over an encrypted connection (HTTPS/TLS).
9. Obligation to provide data
The fields marked as required in the enquiry form must be filled in so that your enquiry can be processed. No automated decision-making, including profiling, takes place.
